Our Story

Uganda is one of Africa’s leading coffee producers, and a significant grower of millet, sorghum and other staples. Recognizing the opportunity to add value and create reliable market linkages, Travnik International was established to professionalize the trading of these commodities. We work closely with farmer groups, cooperatives and primary processors to ensure consistent supply of quality produce while promoting fair and transparent trading practices.

Green coffee beans | Specialty coffee experience

Uganda is renowned for its distinctive Arabica and robust Robusta coffees. Travnik International carefully sources from the country’s key growing regions – Mt Elgon, the Rwenzori ranges, Western and Central Uganda – working with cooperatives and private estates that share our commitment to quality and traceability.

Coffee Offerings

Arabica Coffee

High-grown Arabica with bright acidity, floral and citrus notes. Ideal for specialty and premium commercial markets. Available as parchment, green beans or sorted grades.

Robusta Coffee

Full-bodied, strong and crema-rich Robusta sought by espresso blends and instant coffee manufacturers. Screen sizes and moisture carefully controlled.

Specialty lots

Limited micro-lots and single-origin offerings with full traceability, cupping scores and farm-level

Processed forms

Green coffee beans (export grade), parchment coffee, and selected roasted options for local and regional clients. Every consignment undergoes rigorous inspection for moisture, defect count, screen size and cup quality. We use clean, ventilated storage and protective packaging (jute, GrainPro liners) to preserve freshness.

Cereals & Grains Division

Assorted grains | Quality maize for food and feed

Beyond coffee, Travnik International is an active trader in essential cereals and grains that form the backbone of food security and animal feed across East Africa. We source from productive zones in Eastern, Northern, Central and Western Uganda and supply both bulk and packaged volumes.

Maize corn: White and yellow maize for human consumption, milling and animal feed.Moisture and aflatoxin controlled.

Rice: Local and regional rice varieties for retail and institutional markets.

Beans: Common beans and other pulses popular in East African diets and export

Millet & Sorghum: Traditional grains used for food, brewing and health-conscious markets.

Wheat & Others: Selected wheat and complimentary grains according to seasonal availability

Feed Ingredients: Maize bran and other by-products for livestock and poultry feed manufacturers.

All grains are cleaned, graded, and stored under conditions that minimize post-harvest loss. We offer dlexible packaging – from 50kg bags to bulk load trucks – and can arrange logistics within Uganda as well as neighbouring countries.

Quality is non-negotiable at Travnik International Limited. From farm gate to final delivery, every stage is managed with clear standards and documentation so that customers receive product that meets agreed specifications every time.

Our Six-Step Process

1.  Sourcing & Aggregation

Direct engagement with farmers, cooperatives and primary buying centres. Fair pricing and transparent weighing and grading at origin.

2.  Inspection & Grading

Physical and sensory evaluation, moisture testing, defect analysis and laboratory checks (including aflatoxin for maize).

3.  Cleaning & Sorting

Removal of foreign matter, broken grains and off-types to achieve clean, uniform lots.

4.  Storage & Preservation

Clean, dry, pest-controlled warehouses with regular monitoring. Hermetic bags and protective liners used when needed.

5.  Packaging & Labelling

Export-standard or customer-specified packaging with clear lot identification for full traceability.

6.  Logistics & Delivery

Coordinated road transport with documentation support for local, regional and export consignments.
